Hello! I'm Jake, a water resources infrastructure civil engineering professional with a background in construction.I’m currently a Staff Engineer at GEI Consultants, where I contribute to the design, evaluation, and rehabilitation of critical infrastructure such as dams, levees, and flood control systems. My work involves supporting multidisciplinary teams through plan & design preparation, field investigations, construction support, and project coordination.Previously, I worked in the commercial construction industry delivering ground-up projects in the multi-family and commercial sectors. My Role: Project Engineer
MarketOne is a general contractor specializing in the construction of commercial, life sciences, and multi-family projects.
As project engineer, I worked closely with the project management team, design team, and client to ensure the project stays within budget, meets quality standards, and is delivered on time.
My responsibilities encompassed a range of tasks including project planning & coordination, quality control & assurance, and change management.
Projects
Luella: 51 unit, four level market-rate apartment complex. The building features a mix of one- & two-bedroom units and loft style studios.
U-Haul: Three story, climate controlled storage facility and 12 single story, drive up storage buildings. Over 1,200 storage units total!

Profile Metal Forming is a tier 2 automotive supplier providing engineered and precision fabricated sheet metal components.
As project manager, I oversaw the developmental cycle of prospective and awarded products and ensured successful, on time delivery of projects.
As manufacturing engineer, I refined production processes and resolved quality & process obstacles.
I also led safety & health improvement activities and oversaw building development projects.
